My research interest lies in understanding the impact of maternal stress on offspring brain development. Specifically, the aim is to investigate how maternal stress affects neurodevelopment and its implications for the behavioral and cognitive functions of offspring. Furthermore, I seek to explore the long-term effects of early-life stress programming on the development of neuropsychiatric disorders in offspring. Additionally, I am interested in examining the role of the placental barrier in moderating these effects and identifying potential interventions to mitigate associated risks.
My second research interest focuses on the development of Executive Function (EF) and Self-Regulation (SR) in children and adolescents. Specifically, I aim to investigate various factors influencing the development of EF and SR in this population. This includes conducting assessments of EF and SR in young children to better understand their developmental trajectories. Additionally, I am interested in exploring interventions designed to enhance these skills, with the goal of improving academic performance and socioemotional outcomes.
